WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

Here are some extra tips and tricks to help you understand my shooting style and what to expect during your session.

How I Shoot

My goal is to make sure your photos don’t look posed. Instead of giving you rigid instructions, I’ll offer direction, and then you’ll make it your own. I won’t be micromanaging where your hands go or telling you to tilt your head at a perfect angle. My cues are intentionally vague because I want you to feel natural and comfortable—after all, you already know how to be a couple!

Movement is Everything

Never. Stop. Moving. Seriously! The more you move, the more photos you’ll get. If you stand still, I’ll snap one good shot. But if you take my direction and add movement—sway, walk, twirl, lean into each other—you’ll end up with a gallery full of variety and personality. Don’t worry, you’ll catch on fast!

Get Handsy!

Yep, you read that right. Keep your hands on each other—play with each other’s hair, brush a cheek, hold hands, wrap around each other. This goes hand-in-hand (pun totally intended) with movement. Kissing is always welcome, and I encourage you to be playful, flirty, romantic, and completely yourselves. The more you interact naturally, the better your photos will be!

Embrace the Silliness

Be prepared to get a little goofy. I will joke around, and I might poke fun at you (all in love, I promise!). I’ll also be making a fool of myself, so I suggest you join in. Nothing says “authentic” quite like attempting to break out of a squeeze hold while hugging!

I’ll be bringing a playlist to help you loosen up, but if you have a favorite type of music, let me know! The right tunes can make all the difference in setting the perfect vibe for your shoot.

If a pose or direction feels awkward, don’t force it. Adjust as needed—if you’re uncomfortable, it’ll show in your photos. We’re here to capture you, not an unrealistic Pinterest-perfect version of someone else. The most beautiful shots will be the ones that feel the most natural.
